3 YEAR | 100,000 MILE NATIONWIDE PARTS & LABOR WARRANTY

Every automotive service that C&D Automotive performs is backed by a limited warranty.  For all services not covered by specific warranties outlined below or printed on the customer invoice, the standard warranty is 12 months or 12,000 miles – whichever comes first.*

In the event of failure of materials and/or workmanship, replacement and installation will be made free of charge, including parts and labor.  warranty repair costs will not exceed the cost of the original repair or service.

Important: The original invoice from the store at which the original work was performed must be presented in order to exercise your warranty privileges.

This warranty covers only the original purchaser and the vehicle serviced. It is not transferable.

C&D Automotive will not be responsible for any consequential or indirect damage under this warranty.  Implied warranties shall be limited to the duration of this warranty and shall exclude consequential damages.  This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you (but in no event shall the inapplicability of such limitations or exclusions invalidate any other terms of this warranty).

All potential warranty claims must be raised first with the manager at the Company location that originally performed the work.  C&D Automotive will not reimburse customers for duplicate or corrective work performed elsewhere.

A buyer of C&D Automotive products or service has the right to have warranty service performed during the warranty period.  The warranty period will be extended for the number of whole days that the vehicle has been out of the buyer’s hands for warranty repairs.  If a defect exists within the warranty period, the warranty will not expire until the defect has been fixed.  The warranty period will also be extended if the warranty repairs have not been performed due to delays caused by circumstances beyond the control of the buyer, or if the warranty repairs did not remedy the defect and the buyer notifies the Service Center which performed the warranted service of the failure of the repairs within 60 days after they were completed.  If, after a reasonable number of attempts, the defect has not been fixed, the buyer may return their vehicle for a replacement of parts, if applicable, or a refund, in either case, subject to deduction of a reasonable charge for usage.  This time extension does not affect the protection or remedies the buyer has under other laws.

This warranty does not apply to products or vehicles used for commercial, racing, or off-road purposes, or to damage caused by abuse or accident.

No representative of C&D Automotive has authorization to make statements or promises other than those stated within this warranty.

When it’s a sweltering 97 degrees and sunny, you walk to your car, open the door to be smacked with a gust of heat so intense; it must be at least 25 degrees hotter than it is outside. You turn on the ignition, immediately your windows go down, the air conditioning is cranked to its lowest setting and you wait for your car to cool… but it doesn’t. Warm air is blowing from your air conditioning vents and the car isn’t getting cooler.

Let's talk about air conditioning service and repair issues. Most of us we don't give our air conditioning a second thought as long as it's making cold air. But it's a complex and expensive system that we should think about before it starts blowing hot air.

When you replace your alternator, it’s a good idea to replace your serpentine belt at the same time. Your technician will have to remove the old belt anyway so he might as well put on a new one when he’s done. And the number-1 alternator killer is a battery that’s on its last legs; the alternator has to overwork to keep it charged.

The main job of your axles is to transfer power from your engine to the drive wheels. If you hear a strange noise coming from your axles, or if your axle seal is leaking or your CV boot is torn, the axle needs to be inspected and serviced or repaired.

Car batteries last longer in cold climates than in warm. Cold starts put a greater demand on batteries, but heat is a big factor in car battery life. If your battery is 5 years old; ask your C&D Automotive technician if it’s time to replace it.

Drive belts are essential for keeping your vehicle's electrical alternator, engine cooling, and air-conditioning systems running. Having them inspected periodically and replaced when necessary means you're less likely to experience a broken belt and the resulting vehicle breakdown.

Your cooling system is extremely important in the operation of your vehicle. The belts in your car drive your water pump, circulating coolant throughout your engine. Always maintain the proper level of coolant in your automobile’s system, will prevent your car from overheating and ruining your engine. Always have your coolant levels checked when you have your oil changed.Your repair shop should inspect your engine belts for cracks or missing sections. Your car’s radiator cap should be free of corrosion and leaks in order to protect your engine from getting to hot.

When your check engine light comes on a trouble code is stored in the computer. Some codes are universal and can be read by most scanners. Other codes are stored more deeply in memory or are proprietary to the vehicle make. For these kinds of codes, your service center has powerful, and expensive, equipment and software to help them read and retrieve trouble codes.

At C&D Automotive, when it comes to diagnostics, there’s no better technology then dealership qauilty diagnostic tools direct from the factory. Our mechanics use this diagnostic equipment, arguably the best equipment on the market, on each and every vehicle we perform a diagnostic test to ensure the most accurate code readings. This equipment helps us to guarantee the best service for our customers. We believe that our customers deserve the best service possible, provided through the best equipment available.

If you’re hearing unusual sounds when you brake or if your brake pedal is feeling squishy or too hard, have us do a disc brake inspection for you. We’ll tell you if there’s something wrong and what it’ll take to get your brakes all fixed up.

Some vehicles have disc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear. A thorough brake inspection will uncover any maintenance or repair issues that need to be addressed to keep you stopping safely. If you are hearing unusual sounds when you brake or if your pedal is too hard to push or has a mushy feel, bring it in for a brake inspection right away.

Carbon monoxide is the leading cause of accidental poisoning deaths. It's a dangerous and potentially lethal toxin. Excessive exposure to auto exhaust can cause brain damage and even death. If you see, smell or hear exhaust anywhere but the tailpipe, get an auto inspection right away.

C&D Automotive is a full service automotive repair shop. We use only premium parts on your vehicle, because we believe quality is piece of mind. Call C&D Automotive in Keller, TX today to schedule your next service.

According to the Car Care Council, a little preventative maintenance can go a long way with your fuel economy. If your engine is in need of a tune-up it can be losing 15% or more of its fuel. Tire pressure can also affect your fuel economy. Make a reservation with C&D Automotive for your tune up so you can start saving at the pump.

A recent study showed that 9 out of 10 vehicles have dirty or yellowed headlights. This can decrease nighttime visibility by as much as 90 percent. When you gas up, wipe down your headlights to keep them clean. A headlamp restoration can economically clear up cloudy or yellowed headlight lenses.

The vehicles we drive today are much more comfortable then even 20 years ago. Today’s generation has come to appreciate nice warm heat and cool air conditioning. In the event it stops working, it can make for a miserable trip.

If you are experiencing any of the following, call C&D Automotive right away as these are signs there may be an issue with your A/C:

  • Improper cooling
  • Fan does not start
  • There is a musty smell coming from your A/C

Your car relies on several components, to generate and transfer power through its system to actually move the vehicle, this combination of components is called a powertrain. A powertrain includes the engine, transmission and transaxle. This is the system in your car that allows power to be delivered to a surface like a road. Preventative maintenance is extremely important, because without the proper care of these systems, you may have to purchase a new vehicle sooner than later.

The suspension system affects your vehicle's steering, braking power and stability, so it's important to have these functions inspected regularly and to replace parts when they become worn—and dangerous! C&D Automotive has quality shocks and struts that fit your style and budget and that feature a competitive, limited lifetime warranty. It's also important to have other chassis items, such as tie-rod ends, control arms, and ball joints, checked periodically.

Don't neglect your vehicle's electronic systems small problems now can lead to big problems later. A poor driving experience can often be related to a malfunctioning computer or driving controls. Come to C&D Automotive to ensure your vehicle is in top driving condition.

The main job of your shocks and struts is to keep your tires firmly on the ground. When shocks are worn, your vehicle won't handle as well and could even become unsafe. Replacing worn shocks and struts will extend the life of your tires and prevent other suspension damage.

The basic starting and charging system includes the battery, alternator, starter motor, starter solenoid and an ignition switch. The starter wheel cranks the engine when engaged with the flywheel, which is what turns the engine over. These parts may become warn over time, due to age or driving habits.

Though many spark plugs are designed to last 100,000 miles, they can still get dirty or fail prematurely. Ignition wires lose insulating ability over time, and the connection to the plug or ignition coil can degrade as well. Having your service technician regularly inspect your ignition system can help you avoid conditions that may result in poor performance or reduced fuel economy.

Signs of failure may include sporadic starting. Have your service manager check your battery cables to ensure they are free from corrosive acid.

It’s easy to take your suspension system for granted, but normal wear and tear can affect your handling and safety. A worn suspension part starts a chain reaction that stresses other parts and causes them – and your tires – to wear prematurely. Let us help you take care of your suspension repair.  We have years of experience at C&D Automotive working with all types of suspension systems.

Your Tire Pressure Monitoring System warning light comes on when a tire is 25 percent under inflated. This monitoring system is required on all vehicles 2008 and newer. If your recommended pressure is 32 psi, 25 percent below means you are at 24 psi; which is severely under inflated. At that low pressure, your safety is at risk, your fuel economy is hurt, and your tire is wearing out too fast.

Water pump replacement should be performed by a qualified and experienced automotive technician.  If your water pump is making a grinding or whinning noise it is about to go out. You may also notice water or coolant leaks or your engine may be overheating, these are all signs water pump replacement may be needed.  Keeping your engine cool is needed to avoid engine failure. This could cause a very expensive repair because the water pump is essential to your engine operation.  Bring your vehicle to C&D Automotive to get your water pump replaced.

You should never open your radiator pressure cap or coolant overflow bottle when your engine is hot. Hot coolant and steam can cause severe burns. Check your owner’s manual, or ask you service advisor about when you should have your coolant replaced.

If you drive in axle-deep water, like crossing streams, launching a boat or fording deep rain puddles, your wheel bearings are at risk for water contamination. You may need to inspect your wheel bearings more frequently. And don’t forget your trailers; especially boat trailers.
